The event started like how all Apple events do, with a speech from Tim Cook (CEO of Apple) about previous Apple product and their success and then some sort of video about it. He talked about the iPhone 5, iOS 6 and the 5th generation iPod Touch.

He says iOS 6 has already got 200 million users and that is only after 1 month. He also says that people send over 28 thousand iMessages every second. There is now 700,000 iOS apps and 35 billion apps have been downloaded!
iBooks
He then went on to talk about the first app change, it is in iBooks and it allows the user to scroll down, all the way through a book. iBooks now supports Facebook and Twitter integration so you can tweet passages from your book or put them as your status.
MacThe Mac was the next thing Tim talked about. He said the Mac is now #1 notebook and desktop computer in the US. Phil Schiller then took centre stage to talk about the Mac computer.
He then announced a new 13-inch MacBook Pro which is 1/5th thinner than the old model. It is also the lightest MacBook Pro ever and it has a new Retina display with more pixels than a HD TV so everything is even more clearer and crisp to see (almost as good as real life). The sound is almost as good as real life as well as it has 2 stereo speakers. As expected it includes a FaceTime HD camera, dual mics and USB 3.0 ports. Inside it has 8GB of RAM and up to 768GB of storage.
It runs Apple's newest Mac OS which is Mountain Lion which includes iCloud.
As far as pricing goes it is really expensive at a price of $1699 and when you've decided you're bored of it, it is highly recyclable.
Next product brought up is not the rumoured iPad Mini but instead the Mac Mini. It now has USB 3.0 ports and well, basically is just better than the last model. Prices start at $599 and both this and the new MacBooks are available from today.
There will be 2 models, a 27-inch and a 21.5-inch, both have a 178 degree viewing angle 75% less reflection than the old model. Amazingly, despite its thinness, you can still have upto 3TB of storage and a Core i5 or Core i7 processor!
Like the old model, they come with a wireless mouse and keyboard and pricing for the 21.5-inch model starts at $1299 and shipping starts in November, for the 27-inch pricing starts at $1799 and shipping starts in December.
Tim Cook then comes back out to talk the iPad. He says that 100 million iPads have been sold and they account for 91% of tablet internet traffic. Tim says that iPads are loved as an educational tool and iBooks textbooks are now available for 80% of the US high school curriculum. So that is why they are bringing out a new iBooks Author to let iBooks publishers include multi-touch widgets, custom fonts (for mathematics equations) and more.
Tim invites Phil back onto stage and he starts talking about a new quicker 4th generation iPad with an A6X chip. It includes the new lightning connector, better wifi and finally a Lightning to USB and Lightning to an SD card reader. It has the same 10 hour battery life, same price and same colour range. This isn't the iPad mini as it has the same size screen however the next thing announced is.
It can fit in one hand, it is thinner than a pencil and it is 0.68 lbs. It has the same screen resolutions as the iPad 2 yet the screen is 7.9-inches across. All the current iPad apps also work on the iPad Mini. This new iPad Mini has the Apple A5 chip, a FaceTime HD camera, a 5MP iSight camera around back and the Lightning connector. It has the same 10 hour battery life like every other iPad and pricing starts at $329 for the 16GB version.
Since it is technically an iPad you can purchase smaller iPad accessories like the smart cover.
The 4th Generation iPad and the iPad Mini both come out on the 2nd of November 2012.
