In a nutshell, yes. But let me explain why...
Over 24/25 February 2012 I was at an Olympic themed STEM business event and over the 2 days the organisers kept saying that all the jobs in the future would be STEM related. However I'm stubborn and want to be a journalist so I didn't listen to them. But thinking about it, I think they might be right. Look at it this way, the population is increasing all the time so in 10 years time there is going to be a demand for new transport to be made, more houses, more technology and more complex plumbing and electronic systems to be developed and made. So STEM is the future.
(STEM stands for: Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths)
